The Australia-listed company said on Tuesday it had entered into a contract with Port Macquarie-based Silver City Drilling for a series of well across its permits in the McArthur, Isa Super and South Nicholson basins.
Under the deal, Silver City will supply a Schramm TX130XD drill rig and associated equipment as well as a drilling crew and management team.
Armour said the drilling services contract was designed with set criteria to avoid problems such as those encountered during last year’s programme in the Northern Territory, where it terminated its contract with a drilling contractor in September.
