The Australia-listed company stated that the agreement was ended on the basis that the contractor was unable to satisfactorily remedy matters relating to the performance of its obligations under the contract.
As a result, Armour has suspended its drilling campaign in the Northern Territory while it negotiates another drilling contract.
In the meantime, the company said it was reassessing existing targets and upgrading its resource status.
