For a total cost of about $40 million, the sale included about 8500 net undeveloped acres, about eight million cubic feet per day of net production plus substantial salt water disposal infrastructure.

As a result, Atlas has now increased its position in the Mississippi Lime region to about 19,800 net acres.

“This acquisition nearly doubles our inventory of highly desirable Mississippi Lime locations in the core of the play, and provides (Atlas) with full operating control which will allow us to bring forward development and resulting cash flow,” Atlas chief operating officer Matthew A Jones said in a statement.
