MPX is among the partners in a trio of key onshore gas fields in Brazil's Parnaiba basin where independent explorer unit OGX recently filed a new declaration of commerciality.
MPX "confirmed that negotiations involving the sale of shares of MPX developed and maintains advanced discussions with E.ON to acquire part of MPX shares held by it," the company said in a securities filing Thursday.
