Joint venture partner Cooper Energy told the Australian Securities Exchange on Thursday that the Wyomi-1 well in PEL 92 was plugged and abandoned after reaching a total depth of 1816 metres and “failing to record any significant hydrocarbon shows”.
This follows the similarly disappointing announcement last week relating to the PEL 92 joint venture’sSharples-1 well.
However, Cooper executive director Hector Gordon said both wells still provided valuable information for decisions planned later in the year.
