The Jolly-1 well was drilled to a totaldepth of 4026 metres in PEL 495 and recovered 26.7 metres of conventional corefrom the Lower Sawpit shale and 51.7 metres from the Casterton formation.
Cooper noted that elevated mud gas readingswere also encountered during the drilling of the well over a gross 340-metre interval inthe Lower Sawpit shale, between 3430 metres and 3770 metres.
