The BG board has accepted the resignation of chief executive and executive director Chris Finlayson, who has decided to step down for “personal reasons”, the UK-listed company said in a statement on Monday.
He will be replaced on a temporary basis by chairman and former Schlumberger chief Andrew Gould, who will take over as interim executive chairman, with a recruitment process now under way to find a permanent successor.
