Speaking to journalists after BG Group announced its second-quarter results, chief executive Chris Finlayson said the latest appraisal probe was a “very good well” that had exceeded the trio’s expectations.
“We actually tested the well at 7500 barrels per day even when limited by surface equipment, so this is a very good well,” he said of the 3-RJS-706 probe, the fourth to be drilled on the oil find.
