Trinidad & Tobago’s energy ministry received just three bids on two blocks, a disappointing result for the island nation after offering up rights to six deep-water tracts in its latest bid round.
The Australian giant and the UK explorer lodged bids for the TTDAA 3 and 7 blocks off the east coast of the island of Trinidad.
The only competition for the acreage came from Spanish player Repsol, who placed a solo bid for the TTDAA 3 block.
