Magda Chambriard shared the news as she spoke to a Houston audience about the hundreds of potential exploration areas to be let inBrazil’s first acreage offering since 2008.
She confirmed that concession contracts would be offeredin the 11th round in May, to be comprised of 289 blocks in 11 states covering 155,718 square kilometres.
The 12th round for onshore gas areas, to be held in October, will cover 66,219 square kilometres aimed at opportunities for unconventional and shale exploration.
