The ANP is offering 289 licences in the upcoming round due to take place on 14 May, including 150 blocks in the equatorial margin alone, being 97 in the Foz do Amazonas basin, 26 in the Barreirinhas basin, 11 in the Ceara basin, 10 in the Potiguar basin and six in the Para-Maranhao basin.
While promoting the oil round during a lunch at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, ANP director-general Magda Chambriard said players should pay special attention to certain blocks being offered in the ultra-deep waters of Foz do Amazonas due to their proximity to the Zaedyus find in the north-west border of French Guiana.
