The 12th round will be held on 28 and 29 November following the auction for the single massive Libra pre-salt block in October, tying up a trio of proceedings this year that let companies bid on Brazil acreage for the first time in 2008.
The round to include new frontier areas as well as mature fields will include 240 blocks in seven sedimentary basins, the Acre-Madre de Dios, Parana, Parecis, Parnaiba, Reconcavo, Sao Francisco and Sergipe-Alagoas.
