The Oslo-listed floater contractor, which operates the field’s floating production, storage and offloading unit, had earlier penned a letter of intent with the Brazilian independent to take a 30% interest in the HRT-operated heavy oil field in the Campos basin.
However, BW said in a statement issued on Monday it had now decided to cancel the letter of intent after expiry of the backstop date for the preliminary pact last week.
