It is understood the LO-110 exploration prospect spudded in late October, and was a planned 90-day well. It was to be drilled into a deeper, lower Oligocene reservoir formation.

The prospect is also a high-pressure, high-temperature well and the deepest to be drilled in the Ravva block.

It is understood that Cairn is using the jack-up drilling rig Hercules Triumph.

A three-well infill drilling campaign will follow, targeting by-passed oil as identified by the company’s 4D seismic.
