Statoil risks ratification of a development plan for the giant North Sea field being stonewalled by parliament over the chosen electrification concept, but has reportedly warned any revisions would result in a one-year delay and cost billions.
Political lobbying pressure is growing over the controversial issue ahead of planned submission of the plan for development and operation (PDO) for the Norwegian field to parliament early next year.
