The Brazilian state player said the connection of the Chinook-5 and Cascade-6 wells added a combined 28,000 bpd to production, up from prior output of 12,000 bpd.
The two fields are now producing from six wells using the BW Pioneer floating production, storage and offloading unit, the first such production unit authorised to operate in the Gulf of Mexico though the model is common in Brazil.
