The haul includes 59,000 hectares of land that adjoin theNorthern Alberta prospective area and a 34,000-hectare oil shale lease in east-centralSaskatchewan.
"We are pleased to acquire these assets at such areasonable price," John Brannan, Cenovus chief operating officer, said in astatement.
"This is a good bolt-on acquisition that has thepotential to add value to one of Cenovus’s next big emerging oil sandsprojects."
