The operator of Block 131 has struck 62 feet of net light, sweet oil pay at the Los Angeles-1X well in the Ucayali basin, Canadian explorer Pacific Rubiales said.
LA-1X was spud in mid-September and reached a total depth of 12,409 feet in late November, hitting the pay in the Cretaceous-aged Cushabathy formation.
Three tests were carried out, producing flow rates of 135 barrels per day, 936 bpd and 2351 bpd.
