The two companies will collaborate to appraise shale deposits across four exploration licence areas in south-eastern Poland - Tomaszow Lubelski and Wiszniow-Tarnoszyn, both owned by PGNiG, and Zwierzyniec and Grabowiec, which belong to Chevron.
The agreement is a formalisation of a memorandum of understanding signed in December last year and launches the "first stage of collaboration between the two companies", PGNiG said in a statement.
