The inland barge rig 55B will work for Chevron under a four-well contract with an expected term of 120 days at a dayrate of $50,300, Parker said in a statement on Friday.
The contract is expected to commence before the end of the second quarter this year.
A Chevron spokesman was unable to provide any further details on Chevron's plans for the rig.
