China is already the world’s largest energy consumer. By2035, the Asian giant is expected to consume some 70% more energy than the US.This has led to a push by state-owned behemoths like CNOOC Ltd and to Sinopecsecure energy opportunities outside the nation’s borders.
Now smaller, private Chinese companies are following suitand landing development projects that would have been out of reach just fiveyears ago.
