The Galliano, Louisiana-headquartered company said its newbuild list would also include four Gulf of Mexico subsea construction vessels, one 1.5 million-gallon refueling vessel, one 318-foot multi-purpose construction supply vessel and a 318-foot diesel electric well stimulation vessel.
The privately held company, which also operates many of its vessels, did not disclose financial details, timeline or customers for the work and did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
"We are a customer-centric company: Our main goal is to support their activities with state-of-the-art vessels, expanded terminal facilities, subsea services, fully-integrated logistics, and shorebase support wherever necessary," chief executive Gary Chouest said in a statement.
