COSL will deploy the Super M2 designHai Yang Shi You 932 (HYSY 932) for drilling operation in northern China’sBohai Bay.
The rig, which was delivered onWednesday, is the sixth of its kind the yard in China’s Shandong province hasdelivered since 2011, and the rig is classed by ABS.
Sources said that CNOOCInternational Financial Leasing bought the rig from CIMC Raffles, but it isleased to COSL for operation.
With basic design provided by Friede& Goldman, CIMC Raffles has done the detailed design and shop design of therig, which is capable of working in water depths of 91 metres and drilling up to9144 metres.
