The field is one of the 30 oil and gas fields the company is developing in Chinese waters, of which 11 will start operation this year. The fields have combined annual production capacity of 8.8 million cubic metres.
CNOOC sees a gradual increase of its workload this year with total steel structures weighing 200,000 tonnes and expects the construction workscope will peak next year.
