The Calgary-headquartered explorer’s Aberdeen-based global division CNR International secured a contract with Transocean subsidiary Sedco Forex for the rig.
The semisub is expected to arrive on location in West Africa later this year or in early 2015 to drill the well sextet, with contractual options available to extend the campaign.
Transocean revealed in December that an undisclosed operator had contracted the Cajun Express from November 2013 to October 2015 on a dayrate of $495,000 for a six-well programme.
