The exploration probe was drilled to a total depth of 4195 metres in October, hitting about 75 metres of net pay in a high quality reservoir section.
According to Cobalt, the well encountered both a high liquids content gas interval and an oil interval. During a subsequent drillstem test of the gas interval, Lontra-1 produced at a stabilised flow rate of 2500 barrels per day of condensate and 39 million cubic feet per day of gas.
