Cobalt and its partners drilled the Bicuar-1A well on Block 21 of the Kwanza basin in less than half the budgeted time, reaching a measured depth of 5739 metres in just 59 days, or about 63 days ahead of schedule.
The well hit 56 metres (180 feet) of net pay "from multiple pre-salt intervals" and was drilled with the Diamond Offshore semi-submersible Ocean Confidence.
