According to Africa-focused joint venture partner Jacka Resources, the jack-up rig GSP Jupiter had begun its final tow from Tuzla, Turkey to Tunisia on Sunday.

Towing is expected to take about two weeks and the Hammamet West-3 well will be spudded soon after the rig’s arrival, Jacka said on Tuesday.

GSP Jupiter, which was previously working in the Black Sea, had its jack-up legs and drilling derrick removed in a Romanian shipyard for its tow through the Bosphorus in Turkey.
