The jack-up rig, named La Santa Maria at a ceremony held at Keppel Fels, is scheduled to begin a seven-year fixed term charter from around mid-December with Pemex.
La Santa Maria will depart Singapore later this week and is expected to commence its first drilling operations in the producing Litoral Tabasco field.
The jack-up is contracted to Pemex at an operating day rate of $158,000 for exploration and development drilling , as well as work-overs on existing wells.
