The company recently sold its conventional Canadian properties for C$3.125 billion ($2.8 billion), but still has packages for acreage in the Rockies, Gulf Coast and the Arkoma basin available.
The combined properties targeted for divestment are producing around 56,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, with about 76% natural gas. On average, natural gas comprises nearly three-quarters of the estimated reserves of in these packages.
