The rig contractor will see the rig start work in late April at a dayrate of $198,900, with unpriced options for three more wells.
The SS-15K floater had previously been working in Brazil for independent OGX.
But Diamond decided to move the unit out of the market after the explorer filed for bankruptcy and fell behind on payments for the rig.
The rig contractor had previously said the 1974-built floater was to be sent to Malaysia for maintenance and then marketed in Asia and Oceania.
