The Tawke-17 probe – the deepest drilled to date on the field at 4775 metres – hit hydrocarbon pay in Jurassic and Triassic intervals underlying Tawke’s main Cretaceous producing zones, the Oslo-listed independent said in a statement.
DNO has now launched an extensive test programme, expected to take three months, that will focus on seven newly identified reservoir intervals with production potential, it added.
