Agility chiefexecutive Otto Soberg confirmed to Upstream the cancellation of the company’scontract, awarded in late 2012, for detailed design of the topside drillingmodule for the deep-water unit.
However, hesaid the company “has been paid for all of the work carried out so far in linewith the terms of the contract”, with about 80% of the design work having beencompleted.
Financiallytroubled STX revealed last week the contract worth around $700 million for thenewbuild drillship Palladium Explorerhad been cancelled by the client, now confirmed as Sigma Drilling, having beenordered in 2012.
