Oil and gas explorers will have to go to "remote, challenging and often hostile environments" in order to find the resources needed to power the globe, Dudley said in a keynote address at the IHS CeraWeek conference on Wednesday.
"In business we often talk of challenges and opportunities. What we face today in energy is a series of challenging opportunities, from the shales of America to the snows of Siberia," Dudley said.
