The exploration area excludes the parts of the permits which relate to Hatfield Moor and Hatfield West gas storage facilities, both operated by SPG.
Under the agreement, Egdon is granted an option period of 12 months at the end of which, the company will advise SPG whether it will drill the exploration well.
The company will undertake a full evaluation of the exploration area, including the reprocessing of all 2D seismic, evaluation of well data and the generation of a new report.
