The 50:50 joint venture between Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Petroleum and IPIC released a statement over the weekend saying it had reached an agreement with the government of Fujairah to lease a 260,000 square metre patch of land adjacent to the Emirates SembCorp power and desalination plant at Qidfa.
Emirates LNG said the government would also reclaim a portion of land from the sea off the east coast where the company will build an LNG regasification terminal which it said would be capable of handling “the largest” LNG carriers.
