Under the latest deal, Endesa will buy about 0.75 million tonnes per annum of LNG from Cheniere once the Corpus Christi facility is up and running. That is in addition to an earlier agreement that will see Endesa buy 1.5 mtpa of LNG from the project, bringing the total volume sold to Endesa to 2.25 mtpa.
Italian utility Enel, Endesa's parent, will use the LNG for its operations, Cheniere chief executive Charif Souki said in a statement, confirming previous reports.
