Energy Drilling has made the first down payment to the yardfor the turnkey rig construction contract covering the supply of the derrickequipment set on the GustoMSC Ocean400TD design semi-tender, EDrill-3.
The GustoMSC Ocean400 TD design rig is being built to workalongside specialised deep-water trussed spars, tension leg platforms andcompliant towers outside of benign environments.
The drilling unit is designed to allow for fast mobilisationunder adverse weather conditions and is also well-suited for productiondrilling in shallow water.
