Joint venture partner Neon Energy said a new prospect had been identified on the 500 square kilometres of 3D seismic, shot last year, called Ca Ngu, which adds to the existing Rua Bien and Ca Lang prospects on the block.
The 3D seismic programme was designed to delineate prospects in the vicinity of the 120-CS-1X well, which was drilled by BHP Billiton in 1993 and encountered 32 metres of oil shows and a six-metre oil column.
