Under the deal, Eni will supply 28 cargoes (1.7 million tonnes) of LNG to the East Asian pair over a four-and-a-half-year period, starting from May this year and continuing to December 2017. The monetary value of the deal has not been disclosed.
The cargoes will be shipped either to Japan or South Korea depending on the clients’ allocation needs. Eni said this increased the flexibility and security of supply of Kogas and Chubu’s respective sourcing portfolios.
