Excelerate files with Ferc on LNG

Excelerate Energy expects a final environmental impact statement (EIS) for its proposed LNG import facility in Puerto Rico to be delivered early next year.

The US company confirmed on Friday that it had filed its applicationwith the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Ferc) concerning the AguirreOffshore GasPort LNG import project.

The filing, made along with Puerto Rico Power Facility,moves the project a step closer to approval.

Excelerate said it expects Ferc to issue a draft EIS in thethird quarter with the final EIS to follow in early 2014.
