ExxonMobil revealed the start-up of thefield in an announcement late on Thursday, adding the field had aprojected capacity of 200 million cubic feet of gas per day.
Damarwas developed under a gas production sharing contract betweenExxonMobil and state-run Petronas and thepartners have planned a total of 16 development wells for theplatform at the offshore field.
“Damarwill help meet increasing natural gas demand in Malaysia,”president of ExxonMobil Development Neil W Duffin said.
