The E-Semi is one of two dry tree semisub solutions owned by FloaTec, which is a joint venture between Keppel Fels and McDermott.
Joseph Mathew, a project manager at Keppel Offshore & Marine, said at the OSEA conference in Singapore that the latest E-Semi design had been model tested recently in a laboratory in Brazil in collaboration with Petrobras, and subsequently approved by Det Norkse Veritas and ABS.
