The pictures, posted on oilfield internet forum Drilling Ahead, show a mangled mess of pipes and valves lying on top of a crushed truck owned by Houston-based Cased Hole Solutions, a unit of C&J Services.
The blowout of the "frac stack" - a system of valves that controls well pressure during fracking operations - occurred on 28 February in Hemphill County, Texas, according to data posted on the Texas Railroad Commission's (RRC) website.
