Enerci holds a 12% interest in CI-27 licence off the Ivory Coast.

Gasol will now join Foxtrot International, Saur Energie Cote d’Ivoire and Petroci, the national oil company.

The fields in the licence produce 137 million cubic feet of gas and 1000 barrels of condensate and oil per day.

All of the gas produced is transported by pipeline to Abidjan to sell to a number of long-term customers.

Production from the licence accounted for more than 65% of the Ivory Coast’s gas production in the past year.

Gasol will make a $116 million cash payment for the company in two tranches before the deal is finalised.

The final amount will be determined after the completion date.
