"According to our estimation, more than half of all our oil will be produced using innovative technologies," Gazprom Neft's first deputy general director Vadim Yakovlev said in a release on Tuesday.

The co-operation agreement will help state-controlled Gazprom's oil arm enhance mature field development while improving operational efficiency in technically challenging oilfields, Yakovlev said.

"In order to solve these problems, we are actively co-operating with Russian and foreign service companies choosing the most suitable modern technologies for our oilfields."
