The Russian operator of the field in Wasitprovince said the oilfield is now connected to the Iraqi pipeline system afterit hooked up with the Gharraf field in Nasiriyah province via a 165-kilometrepipeline.
The pipeline will have a capacity of240,000 barrels per day of oil and can supply the oil export terminal inBasra.
