The probe, drilled to a total depth of 10,705 feet, struck pay in the Guadalupe formation that has yielded earlier finds in the Llanos 34 block and flowed at 1154 barrels per day of 16.8-degree API oil during testing.
Further production data would be required to determine stabilised flow rates and the extent of the reservoir, the London-listed company said in a statement.
