The company posted an after tax loss of nearly $31.4 million for the first six months of the year, compared to a $10.3 million loss booked during the first half of 2011.
GKP attributed the wider losses to higher administrative expenses which totaled $34.1 million for the six months to 30 June, up from $16.6 million during the same period last year, which it said was due to a “significant increase” in its operational activities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq as its projects expand and mature.
