The company has inked a contract with Singapore’s Keppel Shipyard for conversion of an existing Moss LNG carrier, of which it has three potential candidates, with the yard having earlier carried out similar conversions of such vessels to floating storage and regasification units for Golar.

Fredriksen, who is chairman of Golar, said “our FLNG vessels will be able to provide a fast-track, cost-effective solution for developing new LNG production capacity”, with the company holding options for two similar conversions at the yard.
